Sunday Shopping: Mini Superdrug Haul

So I spent my day off today Christmas shopping for family and friends, had to pick up a couple of treats for myself though so as well as picking up some serious studded gladiator sandals I had a quick trip to Superdrug.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution 200ml - £3.32

I've been after this for a while but for some reason I always seemed to forget to pick it up. Well today I finally remembered that I wanted this and with good timing too as there was a third off making it only £3.32. Haven't used it to take off a full face of make-up yet as I don't tend to wear a lot just for a day of shopping but it removed my mascara with no problem, much better and much gentler than other eye make up removers. Can definitely see this being a lifesaver when I'm trying to remove heavier make up after a long night.

Bourjois Beauty'Full Volume Mascara Beauty' - £7.99

I was in desperate need of a new evening mascara especially with the party season coming up. I still haven't found my perfect mascara as I need volume more than length and evening the ones that claim to be "volumising" don't seem to do the trick. Haven't tried this yet but hopefully this one might just do what it says on the tin.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder - £8.99

I only recently started using powder and I can't believe it took me so long. I don't even know why it took me so long! Anyway, the powder I was using prior to this was an MUA one, nothing special but did the trick. Since that one is running very low I decided to try this one, I'm a huge fan of Bourjois foundations and have been using Healthy Mix Serum since it was first released. I picked this up in a shade lighter than the Healthy Mix Serum I use as I'd seen from reviews that this can apply a little dark. This powder feels so smooth and smells so good that I really can't wait to try it tomorrow morning. I'm sure a review will be coming soon after as I have huge expectations for this.

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover - £4.99

No description needed for this I'm sure. No other nail polish remover has touched my nails since this little beauty was released. So quick and easy and lasts forever.

So there's a couple new products for me to be trying out over the next few days.

Bourjois Shine Edition: Mauve tabloid

Well after 3 weeks I finally have a new laptop. Had such difficulty in actually getting the thing delivered I started to doubt it was ever going to happen! It's finally here though so finally I can get back to blogging.

I had a night out a couple of weeks ago and since it was just before payday, rather than treating myself to a whole new outfit, I just grabbed a new lipstick. This is something I always do, I don't know why but if I can't afford something new to wear I just feel like I need something I haven't worn before. I think it kinda makes sense haha. Anyway enough with the blabbering. The new lipstick I picked up this time was Bourjois Shine Edition.

It was something a bit different for me as I don't usually go for shiny/glossy lipsticks for a night out but for some reason this one caught my eye. I picked up Mauve tabloid shade number 25. This is a deep purple/pink with small glitter particles. It looks a lot more brown in the packaging rather than when its applied.

First of all I have a little problem with the packaging, I'm not sure if it's the mirror of the lid or the large blue/green writing but something about this I really don't like. It just looks a little bit cheap. That said, it's a decent enough size to fit in your handbag so for a "drugstore" product I can't really complain too much.

The product is slightly slimmer than my usual lipstick choices but there is a decent amount of product and it actually applies much better than I thought it would.

 

 

 

The colour of this isn't quite as pigmented as I was expecting but I was really happy with the result. Being the dedicated blogger that I am I had a few cocktails whilst wearing this, just to see what the wear was like obviously not for my own enjoyment, and I only had to top it up twice throughout the night. Overall I would definitely recommend this product, I'm thinking of trying out a few other colours in this. It's very moisturising yet it still has very good staying power. It applies easily and doesn't bleed at all even without liner. Has anyone tried the other colours in this range?
